# GenesisPay

> Your AI shops. You stay in control. GenesisPay lets ChatGPT, Claude or your
> own AI agent find and buy from GenesisPay shops with a budget and spending
> limits you set; purchases above a limit wait for your approval. Shops connect
> their store once and sell to people and their AI assistants through one
> verified checkout, settled non-custodially in stablecoins (USDC/EURC) on Base.

GenesisPay is a technical service provider, not a bank or a payment institution.
It never holds funds and never signs for a human payer. The regulated payment
service is provided by a partner; what GenesisPay runs is the facilitator — a
hosted server-side relayer that implements the Coinbase x402 facilitator pattern
to broadcast the signed EIP-3009 authorizations — plus the checkout, Discovery
and agent-account software around it.

## For buyers and their AI assistants

- ChatGPT and Claude: add GenesisPay as a custom connector with the remote MCP server `https://genesispay.finance/mcp`. You sign in, pick an agent account and approve; no package to install and no key to copy.
- Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients: run the `@genesis-tech/genesispay-mcp` server with an agent API key (`gp_ag_…`).
- Your own agent: call the agent API with the same key.
- Every agent account has its own funded wallet, spending limits and shop allowlist, enforced server-side. A payment over a limit comes back as an approval link for the human; an allowlist miss is a hard block.

## For sellers

- Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or a custom store once; products are listed in the public directory so agents can find them.
- `/pay/:publicId` is one stable URL: browsers get a human checkout, agents get an x402 `402 Payment Required` response.
- Links, subscription plans and metered billing (non-custodial mandates), invoices, signed webhooks and a seller SDK.
